The customer wanted a more beautiful and dynamic transition from the front porch to the back yard. We removed some plants, more clearly defined the edges of the beds with river rock (also eliminating and guiding some standing water issues), placed some boulders for a more varied scene, and installed outdoor lighting to highlight specimen trees and the new walkway.

Before we started, the space was not much more than a flat patch of dirt with a few random plants, old bark, outdated scalloped borders, and exposed septic lids. Prior to the landscape transformation, we also installed a drain box and pipe in order to mitigate water pooling up at the edge of the driveway and re-route it into the sheep pasture.
